April - Block of the Month 2013

We are excited to be hosting our 2013 Block of the Month

"A Year to Crow About"

We are just beginning so if you would like to jump in and join us, give us a call  765-674-6001.  It is possible to participate by Mail Order and as you can see, we have complete instructions with pictures shown here each month so you can work at your own pace and in your jammies!  This is a great quilt to teach you a variety of techniques and works well for those who are just beginning too!

 

Before we share the April Instructions, here are a few of the projects that were brought for Show & Tell.  We will add pictures on Saturday from those who come to the Saturday class.  We meet on the 2nd Thursday of each month  (April through October) and the Saturday following.  So you have 2 opportunities to come to class each month. 

 

Cindy Mort shared her "Star for All Seasons" Quilt.  This is an Eleanor Burns pattern.  Beautiful, Cindy!

 

 

Judy Sinclair has finished her Block of the Month from 2012.  "Memories of Provence".

Worldwide Quilting Day

Wow!  What an exciting day!  Quilting is definitely alive and well.  Thanks to everyone who came to SEW BIZ today to Celebrate Worldwide Quilting Day.  If you missed it, be sure to ask about all of the new products that we introduced.  Many of the projects that we shared are great STASH BUSTER projects.  Some of the projects are also in our Spring Class Schedule.  Go here to see the current Class Schedule.  Join us in a class soon! 

If you are new to quilting, be sure to sign up for Beginner Quilt Express.  In this class, we introduce you to using a rotarty cutter, ruler and mat and also talk about how to prepare your fabric correctly so that you don't experience the pitfalls that many beginners experience.
